Connect the wearable over Bluetooth, or start the built-in simulator to try the app.
Shown as connected to , chosen from the nearby Bluetooth devices. The readings are random data generated in the app to show how it works; nothing is measured by or read from that device.

Islet cell activity
Glucose for the same period
About this model
Hybrid Excitable Cell (HEC) model of pancreatic α, β and δ cells from A. Mehmood, Artificial Neuron Model for Large Scale Spiking Brain Neural Network, PhD thesis, UET Taxila (section “Pancreatic Cells”). With every reading each cell is run for one period. β and δ cells are driven by glucose above 80 mg/dL, α cells by glucose below 90 mg/dL.
The GS-1 chip computes these three numbers itself and sends them with each packet. For devices that send only the 14-byte packet, and for the simulator, the app runs the identical integer arithmetic. The link between glucose and cell drive is a design assumption that has not been validated against physiological data.
Research prototype. Islet activity is a model output, not a measurement of the wearer’s pancreas.
Add event
Events are marked on the glucose trace. In simulator mode they also change the simulated glucose.
